Composition and form of release
The preparation contains 2 active components at once - dequalinium chloride and dibucaine hydrochloride - per tablet of 0.25 and 0.03 mg of substances, respectively.
Among the auxiliary shaping agents in the composition, there are such substances:
- stearate;
- talc;
- peppermint essential oil;
- mint flavor;
- sorbitol;
- silicon dioxide anhydrous colloidal.
Decatilene is available in the form of lozenges. Each dragee is round, with risks on both sides. The name "MERNA" is stamped on one side of the tablet.
There are several forms of Decatilene packages, differing in volume - you can find boxes with 20, 30 or 40 tablets on sale. In one blister there are only 10 units of the drug.

The second active ingredient, dibucaine hydrochloride, is an anesthetic: it effectively anesthetizes the affected area, relieves discomfort and facilitates the course of the disease.
Note. The active substances of Decatilen® tablets are not allergens or mucosal irritants, so irritation in the affected area is usually not observed due to treatment with this drug.
When to use Decatilen
In general, the remedy is indicated for use in any diseases of the oral cavity or pharynx, if the pathology is caused by bacteria or fungi. Decatylene is used to treat such diseases:
- lacunar type;
- the recovery period after the extraction of the tooth (teeth);
- (aphthous or ulcerative);
- catarrhal type;
- ulcerative membranous angina Simanovsky-Plaut-Vincent;
- tonsillectomy;
- candidomycosis of the oral cavity or pharynx.

There are some contraindications to the use of Decatylene for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes:

According to the instructions for Decatilene in tablets, adults need to slowly dissolve one piece every two hours. After reducing the inflammatory process - every four hours.
For children from four to twelve years old, this medicine is also prescribed one tablet, but every three hours. With the onset of relief - every four hours.
It is not advisable to chew Decatilen tablets. The maximum allowable daily dosage is ten to twelve tablets at the time of exacerbation and six tablets after the removal of acute symptoms.
The course of treatment for adults and children, as a rule, lasts about five days. If during this period the patient's condition does not improve, then he needs to consult a doctor for an additional examination, correction of the dosage of this drug, or a change in treatment.
