Maine Coon Omar is the longest cat in the galaxy! A giant cat from Australia can break the record of the Maine Coon cat from Australia

The family of Australian Stephy Hirst has two collie dogs, and four years ago they were accompanied by a Maine Coon kitten named Omar. All Maine Coons are characterized by large sizes; Omar was no exception, whose weight per year reached 10 kilograms.

Currently, the 14-kg Lobster is 120 centimeters long, but Stefi only recently contacted representatives of the Guinness Book of Records. In her opinion, the young animal is still growing, so the data will be inaccurate. However, even with his 120 centimeters, Omar can take a leading position: currently, the 118-centimeter Maine Coon Ludo from the British city of Wakefield is considered the longest cat on the planet.

For her pet Stefi registered Instagram account, and in the first few days more than 16 thousand users subscribed to the profile of the future record holder.

According to the hostess, Omar leads a calm, measured lifestyle. Every day he wakes up around five in the morning, has breakfast, and then goes to take a nap on the trampoline in the yard. For lunch, they give him kangaroo meat.

He does not jump over fences or climb trees: his main activity is to open all sorts of doors. Finding a small room (like a kitchen cabinet shelf), Omar finishes his activities and goes there to rest. He likes to sleep with the owners, but takes up too much space on the bed, so he is most often sent to the sofa.

"Maybe he hasn't fully grown yet." A cat 120 centimeters long claims to be included in the Guinness Book of Records.

Australian Stephie Hirst(Stephy Hirst) registered Instagram account his cat named Lobster. Within a few days, more than 16,000 users subscribed to the pet profile (as of May 18, there were already 25,000 subscribers), and Omar himself became the hero of local news and TV shows. It's all about the large size of the cat: its length is 120 centimeters, and its weight is 14 kilograms.

A woman adopted a Maine Coon kitten at the age of 12 weeks four years ago. In a year, Omar already weighed ten kilograms, but Stefi believes that her cat is still growing.

According to Stefi, Omar has a calm disposition, he likes to hide in small places, and prefers kangaroo meat for dinner. True, due to the non-standard size, the cat cannot sleep in the same bed with the owners.

He sleeps on the couch because he takes up too much space on the bed and demands that we cuddle and pet him all night.

Omar usually wakes up at 5:00, eats a few spoonfuls of dry food for breakfast, rests near the house, plays in the yard, takes a nap on a trampoline and eats raw kangaroo meat for dinner.

"We buy human kangaroo meat from the supermarket," Ms Hurst says. "It's the only meat he eats."

The giant cat has a lively character, and there is a lot of wool in the house from him.

Omar weighs 14 kg, so his owner uses a dog basket when they visit the vet.

"He takes up too much space on the bed, so we don't let him into the bedroom at night," says Ms Hurst.

Omar also has a talent for opening doors, kitchen cabinets, shower screens, and drawers.

"All our friends want to come and see the cat. They say, 'Is this a photoshop?' or 'It's not real!' And then they see the real cat," says the woman.

When the Guinness Book of Records receives proof of the size of the cat, it may take another 12 weeks to answer them.

The Book's Australian representatives were unable to immediately confirm the status of Ms. Hearst's application. She says it doesn't matter to her.

Omar would like to return to his usual way of life, she says.

"He's looking forward to just napping on the trampoline, eating kangaroo meat and keeping us awake at night," she says.

"I think he'll be happy to be a regular house cat again."
