Decoding the horoscope from the natal chart. What is a natal chart

Astrology is a science that studies the interaction between planets, stars and human personality traits. With the help of a natal chart, you can explain the nature of a person and make a forecast of his future. Learn how to read your natal chart to gain valuable information about yourself.

Steps

Part 1

Explore your zodiac sign

Find your zodiac sign. The outer ring of the zodiac chart is divided into 12 houses. One of them includes your date of birth. The section containing your date of birth determines your Zodiac sign. There are 12 zodiac signs, and each of them reveals different traits character. Determine the sector you belong to to find out your sign.

Find out the meaning of your zodiac sign. Astrologers say that the zodiac sign affects personal qualities person. For example, a person from the air element is a passionate, lively, ambitious and sociable person. Any Internet user can find online data about their character traits in accordance with their zodiac sign. You can also purchase a book about the zodiac signs online or in a bookstore, or borrow one from the library. Such literature will help you know yourself better, based on your personal zodiac sign.

Understand what exactly influences correct interpretation your zodiac sign. It should be borne in mind that the zodiac sign is just a small component of the natal chart. For her correct interpretation many nuances must be taken into account. A complete decoding of the natal chart involves taking into account all other components, such as houses and planets. This information depends on your place and date of birth.

    Part 2

    Interpret at home
    1. Find the ascendant. The Ascendant is a very important part of the natal chart and rises on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. Rising sign will allow you to find out the location of houses on your map.

Check out the first six houses. Each house indicates different aspects of a person's life. Your natal chart is influenced by the sign that rules a particular house.

    2. Find out about the last six houses. In addition to those already listed, there are six more houses. To decipher the natal chart, it is necessary to determine the location of the houses, as well as calculate the planets and zodiac signs, which dominate them.

      Part 3

Reveal the meaning of the planets
      1. Determine the location of the planets. Planets that pass through different houses of your chart affect its interpretation. They are presented in the form different characters and are scattered all over the map.

        • The sun is depicted as a circle with a dot in the center. The moon has a crescent-shaped crescent shape.
        • Venus is the symbol of the feminine and Mars is the symbol of the masculine. Mercury is represented in the form of a male symbol, but with two small lines protruding from the upper circle.
        • Jupiter is represented by a symbol that resembles the number 4, and Saturn - the number 5.
        • The symbols for Uranus, Neptune and Pluto have rather intricate configurations. Uranus appears as an inverted feminine symbol with four lines, two on each side, that curve outward in the opposite direction. Neptune looks like an inverted cross with two lines on each side that curve upward. Pluto is a kind of combination of Neptune and Uranus. This is a female symbol, facing upward, with two lines on each side that curl upward.

To study and interpret a natal chart, it is very important to have a method and follow it scrupulously. When you look at all the elements and information at your disposal, you have the right to ask yourself the question: in what direction to move further in your research and how to draw conclusions?

We offer an original method that will serve as a guide in interpreting the natal chart. To understand and convey the meaning of what is written in the zodiac of the natal chart, you first need to draw up a plan, and then master the principles that it contains. But they must be viewed as something living and interconnected. For example, it is not enough to understand that a person may be a victim of one or another deficiency if one observes his natal chart. We must understand the following:

  • Why does a person have this or that deficiency?
  • Why does this particular flaw, and not any other, appear in his natal chart?
  • What are its causes and origins?
  • What does it serve for, how is it used to structure such a personality?
  • What should a person do to get rid of this deficiency?

This may seem difficult at first, especially if you approach the study of the natal chart from the point of view of prediction, that is, you are driven by curiosity, a desire to know your future or those of your loved ones. You have to accept the fact that in astrology nothing can be predicted for a person unless we know and understand what he is like. Predictions are nothing more than prospects and predictions for people living in the same context and sharing common concerns. But each of them will live the events in his own way or perceive the circumstances that are hinted at.

Let us take into account that we can make some forecast for a certain person, given that it will be probabilistic and not fatal. Therefore, it is very important to approach the study of the natal chart from the point of view of self-knowledge. It is necessary to see where and what events, circumstances and situations in our lives become the result of our behavior and choice of actions. To do this, start studying all the elements listed in the natal chart that interest you, revealing one by one. Do it analytically first, before you learn how to synthesize.

Construct a natal chart

This method is based primarily on the analysis of the natal chart. First, you need to write down, one by one, all the elements listed in the natal chart of the person you are interested in, combining them into categories.

To show this method in practice, we will turn to the natal chart, which we used as an example of calculation and compilation.

Mark the heavenly bodies in the signs. This first step may seem useless, since you have already written down the celestial bodies in the signs in your notebook as you did your calculations. Meanwhile, we recommend opening a new page and restoring this list, not forgetting to mark retrograde celestial bodies with the letter R.

Mark the heavenly bodies in the Houses. Do the same with the heavenly bodies in the Houses. Then make the list again.

Mark the Houses in the signs. Each house of the natal chart is located in one or more zodiac signs. Do new list. If the House exceeds the limits of two or three signs, write that down as well.

Note the aspects that form the celestial bodies

In the previous sheet, we recommended drawing aspects based on the ascendant, so as not to forget about it. To draw up an interpretation, it is necessary to note the aspects based on the aspects of the Sun and following the chronological order of the celestial bodies: Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. If you have already noted an aspect once, then do not write it down a second time.

For example, if the trine Venus - Mars is already fixed, then you do not note it when writing down the aspects of Mars.

Mark the positions of fictitious points in the signs, houses and their aspects. Previously, we did not teach you to draw aspects between fictitious points and celestial bodies, in order to avoid overloading the zodiac of the natal chart and not to sow confusion in your mind.

But you should take them into account in your research - they will be very useful in clarifying the interpretation of a person's natal chart. So make a list of them.

Mark the positions of the celestial bodies and fictitious points in the decans. Write down in which decan each of the 10 celestial bodies and 3 fictitious points of the natal chart you are studying is located. For the axis of the lunar nodes, the position of the North Node must be taken into account as well as the position of the South Node. In our example, the North Node is in the third decan of the sign Cancer, and the South Node is in the third decan of Capricorn.

Note the rulers of each of the 12 Houses.

At the cusp of each of the Houses in the sign, identify one or more rulers of this sign, as well as the rulers of the House of the natal chart under discussion. They will also be useful for interpreting a person's birth chart.

This way you have full list elements recorded in the natal chart that need to be interpreted.

To create an individual horoscope, it is enough to know date, time And city of birth person. Based on these data, publicly available computer program will build a Natal chart. The natal chart is the basis of any horoscope. The basis of the Natal Chart is the Zodiac Circle and the symbols on it indicating the planets and zodiac signs. Learn these symbols by heart:
Figure 1.1.

To better understand what is a Natal Chart, let's imagine the Solar System as a circle (pizza - top view). As you remember from school course geometry, circle = 360 degrees. Let's divide it into 12 equal sectors (30 degrees each) and assign each sector to one of the 12 zodiac signs. This is the Zodiac circle. The sequence of signs on the circle does not change, that is, after the Aries sector there is always the Pisces sector, after Pisces Aquarius, and so on.
IN Solar System 8 planets (not counting ours), the Sun, the Moon and other celestial bodies. Each of them has a certain influence on the Earth, and therefore on its inhabitants. How closer planet, the stronger the influence. The strength and sphere of influence also depends on the astronomical (physical) data of the planet. All planets are constantly moving around the Solar System, and therefore around our circle, swinging from sign to sign (from sector to sector). The further a planet is from the Sun, the slower it moves, and therefore the slower it moves around the Zodiac circle. Depending on its position (in a particular Zodiac Sign) relative to the Earth, a planet can increase, decrease or completely lose its influence on people and their lives. These positions are repeated, therefore, to facilitate the interpretation of the influence of the planets in them, the Zodiac Circle, Zodiac Signs, and then the Natal Chart were invented.
The word Natal comes from the Latin Natalis - birth. A natal chart is drawn up at the time of a person’s birth to determine his character, capabilities, talents, life prospects and goals, as well as the difficulties that he will face in this reincarnation.

Figure 1.2.

Components of the Natal Chart, which will be taken into account when deciphering the symbols (see Fig. 1.1) and compiling an Individual Horoscope:

  • Planets in Zodiac Signs. The natal chart shows in what degree of which zodiac sign a particular planet was located at the time of your birth. Correct interpretation and comparison (synthesis) of all these provisions, which we will learn in subsequent chapters, will give you answers to all the above questions. The sign in which the Sun falls on the map (see Figure 1.2) gives you the main qualities of character - this is, in fact, your main Zodiac Sign. The signs in which other planets fall no less influence different areas of your life and character. What sphere is this or that planet responsible for? in the next chapter.
  • Aspects of the planets. On the map you see black and red lines (see Figure 1.2) - these are the so-called aspects, they show how and at what angle the planets influenced each other at the time of your birth, they are also of great importance when drawing up a horoscope. I'll tell you about them in the third chapter.
  • Houses of the horoscope. Another component of the Natal Chart is the houses indicated by Roman numerals on outside circle (see Figure 1.2). There are 12 of them, like the signs, they also do not change their sequence, and just like the planets, each house has its own sphere of influence. AS, DS, MC, IC are the most basic (angular) houses of the horoscope (1st, 7th, 10th and 4th respectively). More about this in the fourth chapter.
  • Degrees of planets and houses. They show how much a particular planet or house is “bogged down” in a particular Zodiac Sign. If the planet is close to the border of the signs, then the properties of both of these signs will be taken into account.
  • The direction of the planet's orbit. It is usually direct (correct), but sometimes it can become retrograde(reverse, backward). The main qualities of the planet, the element and the sign it will patronize depend on this. at this stage of its movement. I'll tell you about this in the next chapter.
If you do not know your time of birth, this kata will be called cosmogram and is considered not entirely complete, since it does not take into account the influence of houses. I’ll tell you in more detail why a map without houses is considered inferior. in the fourth chapter.

A natal chart (horoscope) is a person’s astrological passport, the decoding of which will help identify the causes of failures, correct the development of a life scenario, and find one’s spiritual path.
