Fillers in cosmetology - all the information. Contour plastic with fillers - what is it, the action and effectiveness of microinjections How long is the effect of fillers visible

Eternal youthfulness of the skin is a phenomenon that is still an unattainable dream of 99% of women. And although the remedy for its inevitable aging has not yet been invented, it is quite possible to push back the withering process.

Modern cosmetology offers many ways for those who want to slow down the passage of time.

One of the most popular and successfully used methods is filler injections, or the so-called "beauty injections".

What are fillers, how does facial contouring work with injections, and what can not be done after the procedure? Let's figure it out!

The term was borrowed by domestic cosmetologists from of English language. Filler has a common root with the verb to fill, which means to fill.

That is, it is nothing more than a cosmetic filler designed to compensate for the loss of volume in certain parts of the face.

Sometimes, in order to get the most pronounced effect of rejuvenation, these drugs are used in combination with Botox injections.

Areas where facial preparations are injected, before and after photos

The main function of dermal fillers is to tighten the skin turgor, which loses its elasticity over the years. It is important to remember that such fillers are not always used to correct wrinkles. This job is most often given to Botox. The only exceptions are mimic, deep wrinkles, which are removed exclusively with the help of seals.

Usually, the following areas of the face are assigned to such fillers:

  • Lips.
  • Nasolabial folds.
  • Cheeks.
  • Chin area.
  • tear cavities
  • Bridge of the nose

To understand how injections affect each of these areas, consider each of them in more detail.

Lips

Not always the natural volume of the lips corresponds to the desired result. In addition, with age, the muscles of this part of the face begin to lose tone, which negatively affects the contour of the mouth.

Filler preparations help to restore the seductive shape and volume of the lips.

Nasolabial fold

The nose area is one of the most vulnerable areas, due to its active mimic activity. Characteristic longitudinal grooves appear in this place already in early age only deepening with age. to eliminate nasolabial wrinkles, smoothes the skin, permanently eliminating creases.

We offer you to see the photo before and after the correction of nasolabial folds with fillers:

Cheeks and cheekbones

Falling cheeks due to age-related changes or insufficient volume of this area from birth are also solved with the help of beauty injections. In this case, the cheekbones are corrected with fillers.

Chin

The characteristic uneven surface of the chin is not necessarily a sign of aging. You can cope with unaesthetic "failures" by introducing a certain amount of filler-filler under the skin.

Nasolacrimal groove

The skin of the lower eyelid has a very thin layer of fat and quickly loses it. As a result, the eyes "sink", look tired. After a course of injections, the subcutaneous layer is filled, stretching and lifting the skin of the eyelid.

Age-related processes occurring in the body of each person have visible manifestations on the face and skin of the body. One of them is a loss of skin elasticity and a decrease in muscle tone. One of the very first signs of aging is the appearance of nasolabial folds on the face.

Such changes in the nasolabial cavity require correction. At some point, they can no longer be smoothed out simply by massage. Before and after contacting a beautician and applying fillers, a big difference is noticeable in appearance.

Up to 30 years old human body there is a process of active formation of collagen fibers responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin. After 30, the intensity of this process decreases sharply, less collagen is produced, and it is destroyed faster, which is reflected in the condition of the skin. Flabbiness and the first wrinkles appear.

Even a serious facelift plastic surgery will not be as effective if you need to smooth out deep wrinkles and eliminate volume defects in certain areas. In cases where it is necessary to lift the sunken area of the skin, smooth out the relief, cosmetologists use injections based on fillers.

Fillers (from the English “to fill” - “fill”) are substances of synthetic or natural origin that activate the process of collagen formation in tissues. Injected into the area of wrinkles, they are evenly distributed under the skin and push out the wrinkles. This non-surgical method works great for skin rejuvenation and smoothing wrinkles.

With a very thin needle, the doctor, under local anesthesia, introduces a special gel into the deep layers of the epidermis just under the sunken area of the skin, and he pushes the sunken skin, smoothing the surface. The effect of this procedure is at least 6 months.

Indications for contour plastic surgery

The effect of the correction of the nasolabial fold is perfectly reflected in the photographs taken before and after the introduction of fillers.

Correction of nasolabial creases, as a rule, is carried out for the first time at the age of 30-35, because if you start using fillers earlier, then the procedure will be more effective, and the result will be longer. Of course, there are women who, with the help of cosmetic masks and creams, massages and exercises for the muscles of the face and neck, and simply thanks to good genetics, successfully push back the signs of age-related changes.

Fillers in the nasolabial folds are a painless and right decision to rejuvenate

But at some age, they still face a problem: what to do with deep nasolabial folds in order to continue to look fresh and young. To correct age-related manifestations, contour plastics are performed with fillers. It allows a non-surgical method to smooth out wrinkles, tighten the oval of the face and generally rejuvenate aging skin.

The appearance of the nasolabial fold before and after fillers is like after a successful facelift. In addition, fillers are used in cases where it is necessary to give the missing volume in the cheekbones, cheeks, chin, nose, build up the earlobe, make the lips more voluminous, even out the asymmetry of the face, fill in some flaws after injuries.

Also, the procedure allows you to eliminate such problems:

Contraindications

Correction with cosmetic gels, although it is one of the most common and safe procedures, there are still a number of conditions.

In which it is contraindicated:

In any case, a beautician face-to-face consultation considers individually all the aggravating factors and gives a conclusion on the possibility or impossibility of the procedure.

Side effects

As with any medical intervention, some complications can occur after the use of fillers. These are, as a rule, redness and hematoma at the injection site, slight swelling, and they pass on their own over a period of several days, without requiring additional therapy.

Most often this occurs due to infection in the wound with insufficient antiseptic treatment during or after the procedure. But there is a very small percentage of serious side effects, most often associated with the fact that the body does not accept a foreign substance.

This may appear as:

In addition to the factor of individual tolerance of the procedure, the quality of the service provided affects the side effects.

Therefore, in order to avoid unpleasant consequences you must adhere to the following rules:

  • Contact a specialized clinic.
  • Make sure of the experience and high qualification of the cosmetologist. This is also evidenced by how carefully the doctor asks about past illnesses and about the current condition.
  • Make sure that the drug that will be administered during the procedure has a certificate.
  • Carefully follow all doctor's instructions before and after the procedure.

Types of fillers in cosmetology

Contour plastic performs a wide range of tasks in cosmetology, so there are fillers that solve these problems different types. Fillers differ in composition, density, resorption time. Which type of filler to choose for injection is decided by the doctor depending on the goals of the procedure and the individuality of each patient.

Today, several types of fillers are used in aesthetic cosmetology, here are the main ones:

Gels with hyaluronic acid are the most popular among cosmetologists. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of human connective tissue.

The advantages of this particular filler are as follows:

The most popular are several brands of hyaluron-based gel, which have proven themselves well:

In general, all these drugs are produced by very reputable companies, have been successfully used in cosmetology for a long time and have similar characteristics.

Preparation and conduct of the procedure

If correction of the nasolabial fold is needed, the cosmetologist examines and consults the patient before and after the fillers. First, in order to correctly select the active substance, as well as its density, the doctor carefully examines the patient's skin, assesses the degree of necessary exposure. He plans the number of injections for one procedure, as well as the required number of procedures.

If there are no direct contraindications, the cosmetologist can carry out the procedure for the introduction of fillers immediately after the consultation:

Skin care after the session

Usually, if the procedure was successful and in order to avoid complications, the cosmetologist gives approximately the following recommendations:

  • Periodically make cold lotions on the area affected by the filler during the first day.
  • Several times in 2-3 days, treat the puncture sites with an antiseptic solution.
  • Try to use facial muscles less, limit the mobility of the face.

In order for the filler to be properly distributed under the skin, the beautician can advise the patient on a special self-massage technique. In this case, the doctor carefully instructs the patient so that he does not harm the tissues with his actions.

After the procedure for the introduction of fillers is not recommended:

  • Touch the injection site with your hands.
  • During the week, expose the skin to thermal effects - you should not visit a bath, sauna or solarium, be in the open sun, sit close to an open fire.
  • During the week, engage in active physical activity, go to the gym or swimming pool - this can provoke swelling.
  • Within 1-2 days after the procedure, perform cosmetic manipulations - apply makeup, creams or masks.

How long does it take to see changes

When correcting the nasolabial fold before and after fillers, very little time passes, but the effect of an injection with hyaluronic acid becomes noticeable immediately. Sometimes the picture is blurred due to the presence of edema or hematoma.

Careful adherence to the recommendations of the cosmetologist who performed the procedure will allow the patient to recover quickly. Within 2-3 days, when edema subsides or a hematoma (and they may not be at all), you can return to your usual affairs and your usual way of life with a rejuvenated face.

How long does the effect last

The duration of positive changes from "beauty injections" is affected by the patient's age, skin condition, mimic activity of his face. But the durability of the effect also depends on the type of filler chosen. Each type of filler has its own duration of action.

Fillers based on calcium hydroxyapatite and based on polylactic acid are more durable, the effect of their exposure lasts up to two years. But in this positive characteristic there is an important drawback: in the event that the patient is dissatisfied with the changes made, it will be difficult to return everything to its original state, you will have to put up with such a lasting effect.

For fillers with hyaluronic acid, the duration of the effect depends on the density of the drug and averages 6-12 months. But even when the drug has already ceased its effect, the skin tissues will start natural process updates. With a repeated procedure, even with a smaller amount of injected gel, the effect will be more noticeable and the wrinkles will smooth out more easily.

Today, contouring and, in particular, the correction of the nasolabial fold, has gained recognition all over the world. Almost every woman who takes care of herself can feel the difference before and after fillers, see her face updated.

Nasolabial correction is not too expensive. And isn't it worth it to feel, after the work of fillers, how time began to count back, back to youth.

How to remove nasolabial folds:

Filling nasolabial folds:

For the past few centuries, the beauty industry has been trying to answer the question of how you can keep a woman young and at the same time not harm her health. Every day there are more and more effective and more safe ways maintaining the shape of the face, skin elasticity and getting rid of wrinkles. One of the latest achievements of beauty science in this direction is fillers.

Fillers and their types

Fillers are gel-like preparations that serve as a filler for cosmetic injections. The word comes from English verb to fill - "fill". The use of fillers is an alternative to surgical facial contouring, with their help they eliminate both small and large wrinkles, smooth the skin, change the shape of the lips, cheekbones, and nose. Depending on the mechanism and duration of action, drugs are divided into three large groups:

Synthetic. talking plain language, synthetic fillers are made on the basis of silicone of deep degree of cleaning. After the injection, they remain at the injection site for a long time, up to several years, and besides, they are very affordable. But synthetic fillers are toxic, often cause allergic reactions, inflammation or pigmentation at the injection site, there is a high probability of displacement from the injection site, after which the filler can only be removed with the help of a surgeon's knife.

Important! Due to the large number of side effects, synthetic fillers are banned in some European countries and in the United States.

Biocompatible drugs can also be divided into three types:

  • collagen fillers. These preparations are made from the skins, cartilage and skin of animals or from synthesized human collagen. Fillers made on the basis of bovine collagen are considered optimal. It was these fillers that first appeared in the beauty industry, and so far they are considered the standard of such drugs, against which new products are evaluated. The development of allergies and other side effects with the use of collagen fillers almost never occurs; they last up to a year in the injection zone.
  • autologous fillers- fillers made from the tissues of the patient to whom they will subsequently be injected. The process of preparing such a drug is very complex, multi-stage and expensive, it usually begins with liposuction. But the filler, made from the patient's own fat or collagen, does not cause allergic or toxic reactions. The effect of the introduction of such a filler will be visible only six months after the procedure, but it will last long enough.
  • hyaluronic acid fillers provoke the production of their own collagen in the skin and renew the skin not only around the injection site, but also around it, therefore they are considered the best today. Low toxicity, hypoallergenicity and ease of administration are the undoubted advantages of preparations based on hyaluronic acid. Rapid destruction in the skin is a minus, such fillers degrade after six months. Nevertheless, it is fillers based on the most common all over the world, including in Russia.

Combined fillers are a combination of synthetic and biological components. They stay at the injection site longer than biocompatible drugs, but they are not as toxic.

Applications and procedure

Fillers can be used to solve cosmetic problems on any part of the body, but drug manufacturers recommend using them primarily for the face. First, the doctor marks the injection sites on the prepared face of the patient, then together they choose the appropriate type of filler. The filler is placed in a sterile syringe and from it through the thinnest needle is injected under the skin at the injection site, for example, under the wrinkle, until the skin becomes completely smooth. With the help of a filler, you can slightly change the shape of the lips or, say, make the hump on the nose a little less noticeable.. Often, with the help of these drugs, people get rid of scars or pockmarks. But still, the most common area of application of fillers is wrinkles, deep or not so deep.

The procedure for introducing the filler under the skin takes place under local anesthesia, sometimes freezing wipes or lidocaine are enough. Most injections are completely painless. A few days after the injection of the filler, there may be swelling or redness at the injection site.

What not to do after the procedure:

  • use makeup for at least 6 hours;
  • touch the injection site, massage it;
  • a few days before the procedure and 5-6 days after it, it is undesirable to take medications that increase blood viscosity;
  • before the disappearance of edema, a visit to the solarium, sauna is not welcome.

Pros and cons of using fillers

Like any cosmetic procedure, the introduction of fillers has its opponents and supporters. Of the indisputable advantages, it is worth mentioning:

  • Non-traumatic and fast correction of wrinkles, injections increase skin elasticity, smooth it, make it possible to correct the oval of the face;
  • Low percentage of allergic reactions and complications after using fillers;
  • Biocompatible preparations quickly "embed" into the skin and do not migrate, and over time are completely eliminated from the body;
  • the use of fillers is possible at any time of the year without restrictions;
  • Hyaluronic acid-based fillers have a positive effect on the skin, as they attract water molecules, thus moisturizing the skin around the injection site;
  • Fillers do not affect the work of the muscles, and therefore do not change the facial expression of the patient.

Cons of using fillers:

  • Short term effect. Most safe drugs based on hyaluronic acid, they act up to six months, then the procedure must be repeated;
  • Long-acting (silicone) fillers have many side effects, often migrate and remain under the skin forever.
  • When using injections to remove wrinkles around the eyes, there is a high risk of vascular damage, which can lead to prolonged swelling and impaired blood circulation in this area.
  • The introduction of fillers is contraindicated in case of pregnancy or lactation of the patient, with exacerbation of chronic diseases or inflammation of the skin at the sites of the intended injections. Do not inject fillers into places where there are already permanent fillers, such as silicone.

Important! It is forbidden to combine the use of these drugs with massage, light therapy, electro- and RF-procedures.

Modern popular fillers

As already mentioned, preparations based on hyaluronic acid are currently most often used all over the world. Here are some of the most requested ones:

  • "Restylane" (RESTYLANE, made in Sweden) is most often used to correct wrinkles and eliminate the folds of the nasolabial triangle.
  • "Perline" (also made in Sweden) has a denser composition, therefore it is used to eliminate deep wrinkles, as well as to correct the cheekbones and the overall oval of the face.
  • "Juvederm" (JUVEDERM, made in France) is most often used to correct nasolabial folds and give volume to the lips. The crystal structure of the Juvederm gel allows you to achieve a longer result. This filler practically does not cause allergies and rejections.
  • Surzhiderm (SURGIDERM, made in France) is considered a new generation drug. With its help, deep wrinkles of the nasolabial triangle, on the forehead, on the bridge of the nose and chin are eliminated. Surzhiderm is also effective for giving extra volume to the lips and getting rid of acne scars.
  • Radiesse (RADIESS, made in the USA) is also a relatively new two-phase filler. Used to correct the shape of the nose, chin, face oval.

Filler prices

The final price for the drug is formed depending on its quality and volume, as well as on the region of residence and the level of the clinic in which the procedure takes place. However, the average prices for the most popular modern fillers are approximately as follows:

  • RESTYLANE. The cost of this drug varies on average from 10 to 18 thousand rubles. RESTYLANE LIPP, intended only for lips, will cost 17 thousand rubles. RESTYLANE PERLANE 1.0 costs 17 thousand rubles, and for the highest quality of this line RESTYLANE SUBQ 2.0 you will have to pay about 32 thousand rubles.
  • SURGIDERM is in about the same price range as the previous filler. Its price ranges from 9 to 16 thousand rubles.
  • Slightly more expensive drug JUVEDERM: JUVEDERM ULTRA 3 - 0.8 will cost about 14 thousand rubles, JUVEDERM ULTRA 4 - 0.8 - 16 thousand rubles.
  • The RADIESS drug, depending on the volume, can cost from 11,000 rubles. up to 26,000 rubles

Botox, mesotherapy and filling - what's the difference?

Any of these procedures are so-called "beauty injections" and are aimed at eliminating skin defects, but the mechanism of action is different.

Botox is a drug that breaks the connection between a muscle and a nerve. Thus, mimic wrinkles, which are formed due to excessive muscle work, are gradually smoothed out. The procedure for the introduction of Botox is one-time, the result is visible almost immediately and lasts up to six months. However, Botox injections only smooth the skin without affecting its condition in any way. I would like to highlight one of the most effective drugs.

Mesotherapy on the contrary, it is aimed at a significant improvement in the condition of the skin, at its improvement and increase in tone. How is the introduction under the skin of a "cocktail" of various active substances, which improve blood microcirculation in tissues, strengthen and constrict blood vessels, have a general healing effect. This method of influencing the skin involves about a dozen sessions with weekly breaks, the effect will appear gradually, but it will last up to a year. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the most common drug.

Filling in this case is an intermediate solution. Fillers do not affect the work of the muscles, but at the same time not only smooth wrinkles, but also have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin. And although after the procedure the result will be noticeable only after the swelling subsides - in a week and a half, however, its duration is approximately the same as that of Botox injections.

It should be noted that one of the main conditions good effect from the introduction of the filler is right choice doctor. The clinic you choose must have all the necessary certificates to work with such drugs, and the cosmetologist must have a medical education.

From this article you will learn:

  • what are facial fillers
  • fillers under the eyes, fillers in the nasolabial folds - reviews, photos before and after,
  • cream Revitalift filler Loreal: reviews.

Fillers (Fill - from English fill) are injectable dermal fillers that are used in cosmetology to smooth fine, medium and deep wrinkles, reduce the depth of nasolabial folds, and also correct atrophic scars. But fillers in cosmetology are used not only for this. With their help, you can give additional volume to the cheekbones and cheeks, as well as increase the volume of the lips or make the contour of their red border, similar to the “Cupid's bow”.

Not possessing special knowledge, it is very difficult to choose a filler against the background of their huge variety. Let's explain this using the example of such a simple and understandable criterion as the percentage of hyaluronic acid (HA). Usually in fillers, its content ranges from 18.5 to 26 mg / cm 3, and it would seem that everything is simple - the more it is, the longer the effect will last. But this rule only works when you compare a line of fillers from a single manufacturer with each other.

But this does not work when compared with, for example, Restylane ® and Juvederm ® fillers containing 20 and 24 mg/cm 3 , respectively. The fact is that the duration of the effect will be affected to a greater extent by the type of chemical modification of HA, during which its single chains are “crosslinked” with each other. Manufacturers use different technologies for “crosslinking” HA molecules, which leads to the formation different types bonds between its individual chains and a different number of such bonds, which directly affects the rate of destruction of the filler.

Fillers in cosmetology: what is it, photo

In the 1940s-1950s, silicone was used as a filler for cosmetic procedures, but in many patients the body reacted to silicone as a foreign body, which led to the development of granulomas at the injection site. Therefore, it was soon banned. Since the 1970s, collagen injections have been actively used as fillers in cosmetology, and in 1995, the first fillers made from hyaluronic acid appeared. To date, 5 main types of fillers are used in cosmetology.

Fillers in cosmetology for the face: types

Hyaluronic acid fillers are currently the most popular. They are easy to use, effectively eliminate wrinkles and folds, give extra volume. However, the duration of their effect (depending on the brand of the drug) is on average 6 months, and only some of them retain the effect up to 12 months. In turn, for poly-L-lactic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite fillers, the effect lasts up to 18-24 months, but working with these drugs requires a lot of experience and special training of the doctor.

And that is why such a filler as "Sculptra", in fact, is a full-fledged replacement plastic surgery- practically not used in Russia (complex application technique and the need for special training abroad). There is also the drug "Artefill" from polymethyl methacrylate microspheres, the guaranteed effect after which lasts up to 10 years, but it is too expensive and is not used in Russia. Below you can read about the features of the use of all types of fillers and their comparative characteristics.

Fillers: what is the procedure, technique

Fillers are injected into the superficial, middle or deep layers of the skin using a syringe with a very fine needle (usually marked 27-30G). The depth of injection of fillers directly depends on the depth of wrinkles. The thinner the needle, the less painful the procedure will be and the less risk of bruising after the procedure. However, only soft fillers designed for superficial wrinkles and the lip area can be injected with the thinnest needles.

To correct medium to deep wrinkles and folds, denser fillers are used, requiring a slightly larger needle diameter. Dense fillers dissolve more slowly than soft fillers, but their introduction is more painful. Some fillers already contain (usually 0.3%), or a regional local anesthetic may be given by the doctor. The procedure usually takes 15 to 30 minutes.

When it comes to wrinkle correction, fillers are injected into the base of each wrinkle with a syringe (Fig. 8). Thus, a filler depot is created under the wrinkle, which, as it were, pushes the tissues outward, smoothing out the wrinkle or crease. If it is necessary to give additional volume to the cheeks or cheekbones, then the filler is injected into the skin evenly throughout the area.

Deep wrinkle correction with filler

The effect of most fillers is noticeable immediately after the procedure. Some fillers (those made with hyaluronic acid) are not made fully hydrated with water. This means that after being introduced into the tissues, they will absorb water a little for another 24 hours, further expanding. Thus, the final result - you will see only a day after the injection. Whether a filler is fully hydrated or not is very important when choosing lip fillers.

The result from the introduction of some fillers (such as "Sculptra") - appears only after 3-4 weeks, but this is one of the few drugs that works not due to the mechanical filling of tissues with a gel, but due to the formation of new collagen. Radiess also has a similar effect, but the price for such fillers in cosmetology is always very high. Detailed information you will find about them below.

Collagen based fillers

Collagen is the main part of the dermal layer of the skin (dermis). The volume of collagen in the skin is 70% of its dry weight, and it is thanks to this protein that the skin has strength and elasticity. In total, there are 11 different types of collagen found in the skin, but mostly collagen types I and III. For the production of fillers, manufacturers use the same types of collagen, but its origin may be different. It can be bovine, porcine or bioengineered human collagen.

Collagen fillers have been used since 1981. The first fillers were made from bovine collagen (Zyderm 1, Zyderm 2 and Zyplast ® preparations). In the production of modern collagen fillers, the achievements of genetic engineering are used, or the innovative Israeli technology Glymatrix ® , which allows you to start the process of formation of new collagen in tissues, and also prolongs the effect up to 12 months. Nevertheless, it should be noted that injections of collagen fillers are very rare in Russia (unlike Europe and the USA).

1) Fillers CosmoDerm ® and CosmoPlast ® -

Fillers of this type include CosmoDerm 1, CosmoDerm 2 and CosmoPlast ® . They are produced by the innovative American company Allergan Inc., which, by the way, is also a manufacturer. In the production of these fillers, bioengineered human collagen is used, which is obtained by culturing fibroblasts in the laboratory. Fibroblasts produce collagen, which is then used in the production of these fillers.

CosmoDerm 1 contains 35 mg/cm3 of bioengineered human collagen and 0.3% lidocaine solution. This filler is most commonly used to correct superficial wrinkles and scarring, such as wrinkles around the eyes or smoker's lines around the lips. In CosmoDerm 2, the amount of collagen will be 2 times greater, and this filler is more often used to eliminate post-acne scars. CosmoPlast also contains 35 mg/cm 3 of collagen, but due to the use of glutaraldehyde, this preparation undergoes slower breakdown than the first two.

Therefore, CosmoPlast is used to eliminate deeper wrinkles and atrophic scars, and very often often in combination with hyaluronic acid fillers. At the same time, due to the filler with collagen, a volumetric base of the tissue is created, after which a more superficial injection of the filler with hyaluronic acid is performed in the same area. The advantages of CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast are that they do not require skin tests, give less swelling and bleeding compared to hyaluronic acid injections. Disadvantages - high price, duration of action 3 and 4 months, respectively.

2) Evolence fillers (Evolense ®) -

The Evolense filler is the most innovative collagen-based filler that is just gaining popularity. Today it is used in Europe, Israel and the USA. The manufacturer is Colbar Laboratories, Israel. The drug contains porcine collagen types 1 and 3 in the amount of 35 mg/cm 3 . In the production of the drug, a number of cutting-edge technologies are used that make it possible to make porcine collagen fully immunologically compatible with human collagen, but the most important thing is the Glymatrix ® technology.

This technology allows collagen to be bound to the D-ribose polysaccharide, which gives collagen a certain three-dimensional structure, which is preserved even after the drug is injected into the tissues. Such a three-dimensional scaffold is used by the patient's skin fibroblasts to produce their own collagen, triggering the processes of neocollagenogenesis and neovascularization. At the same time, the activity of fibroblasts producing new collagen increases markedly in the skin.

There are 2 forms of release of this filler - Evolence ® and Evolence ® Breeze. The first is used to correct deep wrinkles and folds on the face, and can be found in the middle and deep layers of the skin. The second has a less fibrous consistency and is used to eliminate fine wrinkles, to change the contour of the red border of the lips, as well as the shape of the body of the lips. Clinical studies conducted by Rzany, Monstrey and co-authors (involving a total of 740 people) showed that the effect after Evolense lasts at least 12 months, and in some patients lasted up to 18 months.

Fillers based on hyaluronic acid -

Hyaluronic acid fillers are most often used to eliminate cosmetic defects. They are easy to use, do not require too complicated training of the doctor. is a polysaccharide, which is constantly synthesized by skin cells. Her biological role is to moisturize the skin and give the skin volume, which becomes possible due to the fact that its molecules are able to hold a volume of water - 1000 times the volume of the molecules of the polysaccharide itself.

The "lifetime" of hyaluronic acid molecules in the body is no more than 24-48 hours, which is why the so-called "bound hyaluronic acid" is used for the production of fillers. It is a gel in which single molecules of hyaluronic acid are linked to each other (with the help of special substances) in long chains, which prevents its rapid destruction. After injection into tissues, such a gel retains its elastic structure and volume for a long time, which makes it possible to use it to correct wrinkles and give volume to facial tissues. The duration of the effect is usually about 6 months, but for some drugs the effect lasts up to 9-12 months.

Type of hyaluronic acid filler

Below we list the most popular hyaluronic acid fillers, but in general there are very few of them. a large number of, and they all have different properties. For example, one of the most important characteristics of a filler is its elasticity (density). Fillers with a high density are used to eliminate deep wrinkles and folds. Slightly less dense - designed to create volume in the cheekbones and cheeks, and very soft - are used in the lips and eyes. In Table 1 you will find information about filler brands and for which areas of the face they are recommended.

1) Filler ® (Restylane) -

Restylane contains non-animal hyaluronic acid obtained by bacterial fermentation. The manufacturer is Q-Med (Sweden). It is the most popular filler in the US (approved by the FDA in 2003). It has a high concentration of hyaluronic acid - 20 mg per 1 ml. Restylane refers to not fully hydrated gels, i. during the first 24 hours after the injection, it will absorb moisture, which will lead to additional expansion of the soft tissues at the injection site.

Due to the fact that the gel has an average density and elasticity (the viscosity of the gel corresponds to 100,000 particles per 1 ml), it is well suited for the correction of medium depth wrinkles. The effect after its introduction lasts from 6, but not more than 8 months. This preparation is ideal for reducing the depth of nasolabial folds, marionette lines at the corners of the mouth, nasal defects, acne scars, and also for lifting the tip of the nose.

In addition to the classic Restylane ® filler, there are also several options that are more adapted to specific tasks: 1) Restylane Touch - to eliminate the smallest wrinkles, 2) Restylane Lip - to correct lip volume, 3) Restylane Sub-Q - to create additional volume in the cheekbones and cheeks. All these preparations contain the same concentration of hyaluronic acid, and differ only in terms of density / elasticity of the gel. The cost of 1 syringe with a volume of 1 ml for clinics is from 6,000 rubles, which, in our opinion, makes this filler the best in terms of price / quality ratio. In clinics, the price starts from 10,000 rubles.

A big plus of Restylane brand fillers is that the manufacturer checks their fillers for the residual content of bacterial proteins. This is important because Virtually all fillers are now produced by bacterial fermentation, and residual proteins can pose a risk of allergic reactions. For example, popular Juvederm fillers do not undergo such laboratory tests. However, there are no comparative data in the literature on the frequency of allergic reactions of fillers of different brands.

2) Filler Perlane ® (Perlane) -

Filler Perline was also developed by Q-Med (Sweden). It is part of the Restylane ® line of fillers, differing from them in higher viscosity and gel density. At the same time, the concentration of hyaluronic acid in it is the same - 20 mg per 1 ml. This filler is FDA-approved and is designed to address only severe deep wrinkles and skin folds. The duration of the effect is about 9 months after the injection (sometimes longer).

This gel is an excellent option to reduce the severity of nasolabial folds, to increase the volume of the cheekbones, to reduce deep wrinkles on the chin, marionette lines at the corners of the mouth. In general, to successfully work with this drug, the doctor must have extensive experience in the use of fillers, because. Pearline has a very high density. The use of such a gel with insufficient experience can lead to the fact that the surface of the skin will be uneven (bumpy). The cost of 1 syringe with a volume of 1 ml is about 7,000 rubles, and in clinics the cost usually starts from 12,000 rubles.

3) Filler Juvederm ® (Juvederm) -

Juvederm is one of the most popular fillers in Europe and the USA. The manufacturer is Allergan Inc. (USA). Contains hyaluronic acid obtained using bacterial fermentation technology. The gel is not fully hydrated, so further expansion should be expected in the first 24 hours after injection. Two forms of Juvederm® filler were approved by the FDA in 2006, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus. They correspond to those released for Russia - Juvederm Ultra 3 and Juvederm Ultra 4.

In "Juvederm Ultra 3" and "Juvederm Ultra 4" the concentration of hyaluronic acid is the same - 24 mg / 1 ml, but they differ from each other in the density of the gel. Gel "Juvederm Ultra 4" - the most dense, and is used to correct deep wrinkles and folds, as well as atrophic scars. Slightly less dense "Juvederm Ultra 3" - is used to correct wrinkles of medium depth, but it is also suitable for working with the contour of the red border of the lips. Moreover, both of these gels are equally suitable for increasing the volume of the cheekbones, reducing the depth of the nasolabial folds, as well as for marionette wrinkles.

The cost of 1 syringe with a volume of 1 ml (depending on the form of release) is from 7,000 to 13,000 rubles, and accordingly, in clinics, the price will start from 12,000 rubles for the most inexpensive option - Juvederm Ultra 2, used for lips and wrinkles around the eyes . The duration of the effect of "Juvederm Ultra 3" is similar to the Restylane ® filler and is 6-9 months, but the effect of "Juvederm Ultra 4" will last up to 12 months. Additionally, there are 5 more variants of this filler, designed for narrow areas of application (you can read them at the link below). They include -

    Juvederm Ultra 2,

    Juvederm Voluma,

    Juvederm Ultra Smile,

    Juvederm Volbella (Volbella),

  • Juvederm Volift (Volift).

4) Filler Belotero (Belotero) -

The Belotero filler was created by the Swiss company Anteis S.A., but on this moment The brand is owned by the pharmaceutical company Merz (Germany). Belotero is positioned as a "smart filler", which has a unique degree of uniformity and the ability to evenly distribute in tissues. This ensures that you will not feel it in your skin. Has FDA approval. The line of this filler is represented by 3 drugs - Belotero Soft, Belotero Balance and Belotero Intense.

Belotero Soft - contains 20 mg/ml 3 hyaluronic acid, and is intended for the correction of fine superficial wrinkles, as well as delicate areas of the face, neck and décolleté with thin skin. Belotero Balance - contains 22.5 mg/ml 3 hyaluronic acid, and is used to correct medium wrinkles and folds, as well as lip augmentation. And the third option - Belotero Intens - with 22.5 mg / ml 3 hyaluronic acid, to correct deep wrinkles and folds, as well as increase the volume of the cheekbones and cheeks. The effect lasts for about 6-9 months. The cost of 1 syringe with a volume of 1 ml is about 6000 rubles.

→ Cost in clinics - from 11,000 rubles per 1 ml.

5) Filler Stylage -

Filler Stylage ® is produced by the French company VIVACY Laboratories. Stylage filler has a whole line of drugs. First, there is a line of 3 Stylage ® fillers - with the letters S, M and L. They are intended for fine superficial, medium and deep wrinkles, respectively. The effect of Stylage ® S lasts up to 9 months, while M and L last up to 12 months. Each version of the gel is available with and without lidocaine.

The second option is the soft filler Stylage Lips, which contains 18.5 mg / ml 3 hyaluronic acid and is intended only for increasing the volume of the body of the lips and / or contouring their red border. The effect lasts for about 6 months, sometimes longer. Well, the third option is Stylage XL and XXL fillers, which are designed to add volume to the cheekbones and cheeks. The effect lasts for about 12 months.

The manufacturer, as one of the competitive advantages, claims the content of antioxidants (mannitol and sorbitol), which slow down the destruction of the hyaluronic acid gel. However, the process of destruction of hyaluronic acid gels in tissues depends on many factors, and antioxidants are far from being the main ones. Comparative studies on this issue with other fillers - the manufacturer does not publish. The cost of Stylage ® S, M, L is about 3500-4000 rubles (for 1 syringe). The cost of other forms is about 5500 rubles for 1 syringe of 1.0 ml. In proportion to this, you can calculate the price in clinics (usually + 5,000 rubles to the cost of the drug).

6) Princess ® and Hyalax ® fillers –

Both the Princess filler and the Hyalax filler are produced by the same company Croma-Pharma (Austria). There are 2 release forms in the line of Princess fillers. The first option is the classic Princess Filler ® , a rather soft filler that can be used for superficial and medium wrinkles, as well as for lip augmentation. To correct deep wrinkles and nasolabial folds, increase the volume of the cheekbones and cheeks, you can use a denser version of this drug - Princess Volume (Princess Volume).

The effect of the classic Princess filler will last 4-6 months. The effect of the second second filler option will last up to 6-9 months. I must say that this brand is the most inexpensive among fillers. Cosmetology clinics buy them - only 3,000 and 3,500 rubles, respectively (for a 1.0 ml syringe), and the low price allows for a higher margin. For comparison, the purchase price of 1 syringe of 1.0 ml "Juvederm Ultra 3" is about 11,000 rubles.

It should be noted that for Princess fillers (compared to the above) - very little has been published clinical research, and with not too many people who took part in them. However, if you want to save money or get acquainted with the contouring procedure for the first time, you may well choose this particular brand. By the way, another economical option is the Revofil line of fillers (Fine, Plus and Ultra), made in Korea. Their purchase price for a 1.0 ml syringe is also only about 3,100 rubles.

Filler Radiesse (based on calcium hydroxyapatite) -

The most popular filler of this type is Radiesse. The drug was developed by the well-known American biotechnology company BioForm Medical, but at the moment the drug belongs to the German company Merz Pharma. Has FDA approval. The drug consists of microspherical particles (25-45 microns in size) of 30% calcium hydroxyapatite, which are suspended in a gel-like carrier.

The gel-like filler carrier dissolves approximately 2-3 months after the injection, after which the skin cells are in direct contact with the microspheres. Clinical studies have shown that the gradual destruction of microspheres by macrophages leads to the activation of the function of fibroblasts and the replacement of this volume with new formed collagen (according to Hirsch R. and Cohen J.). Thus, the Radiesse filler is one of the few drugs that actually stimulates neocollagenesis. At the same time, calcium and phosphate ions formed during the destruction of microspheres do not have antigenic properties; the drug is completely immunologically inert.

Another point is also very interesting: the body sometimes responds to the introduction of any type of fillers with the formation of granulomas in soft tissues, perceiving them as a foreign object, which is frequent complication when using dermal fillers. An interesting point is that after the injection of Radiesse, granulomas never form. Indications for the use of Radiesse - correction of nasolabial folds, cheekbones, hollow cheeks, marionette wrinkles. The average duration of the effect is from 9 to 18 months, and unlike the Sculptra preparation (see below), the wrinkle-smoothing effect will be visible immediately after the procedure.

→ The price of Radiesse in clinics is from 16,000 rubles for 0.8 ml, and from 25,000 rubles for 1.5 ml.

Sculptra filler (based on poly-L-lactic acid) -

Filler Sculptra (Sculptra) is a synthetic, biocompatible, immunologically inert polypeptide, which consists of microspherical particles of poly-L-lactic acid. Many experts call this filler a skin stimulator, because. it is not a traditional dermal filler – unlike traditional fillers based on hyaluronic acid or collagen. Its mechanism of action is to initiate the formation of new collagen in the dermis, due to which there is a slow correction of deep wrinkles and restoration of soft tissue volume.

The drug is produced by the international dermatological company Galderma ® .

The mechanism of action of the drug is correct introduction it not only corrects the depth of the wrinkle, but also restores the amount of lost collagen in the injection area. In fact, it is more like the introduction of fatty tissue in the correction of sunken areas of the face and deep folds that occur as a result of a decrease in the volume of deeper structures (dermis and subcutaneous fat). Small and precise amounts of Sculptra should be injected into the correction area so that there is no overcorrection. In patients 30-39 years old, 2-3 cm 3 of the drug is usually used, in 40-49 years old - 4 cm 3, older - 5 cm 3.

The cosmetic effect after the introduction does not appear immediately, but not earlier than after 4 weeks. Sculptra injections are performed monthly (or rather, at intervals of 4-6 weeks) until the patient is satisfied with the volume of correction of the problem area. Therefore, it is impossible to immediately say exactly how much of the drug you will need, but usually it is 3-4 courses of injections. The effect is best achieved in pre- and postmenopausal women receiving hormone replacement therapy. Worse effect occurs in postmenopausal women NOT receiving hormone replacement therapy. Studies have shown that cosmetic defects in men are corrected faster when using Sculptra than in women (for an unknown reason).

If it is important for the patient to immediately achieve a cosmetic effect, then Sculptra can be combined with other fillers (and already during the first visit), but Sculptra must be injected first. It is successfully used to increase the volume of the cheekbones, cheeks, correction of nasolabial folds, and the results achieved remain for at least 18-24 months. Very important: the technique of working with this drug is very complicated, and the doctor must undergo special training provided by the manufacturer. this drug(you should definitely ask the doctor to present such a certificate). But the effect of this drug will be the most impressive, as after a successful plastic surgery.

Facial Fillers: SUMMARY

We hope that now it has become clear to you what facial fillers are, and for your convenience, we will group them below according to specific areas of application. Many of them are approved FDA(Federal Office for Quality Control of Drugs in the United States). Despite the fact that the FDA recommendations are always a guarantee of safety and efficacy, in some cases the lack of recommendations does not indicate the poor quality of the drug, but bureaucratization and slow decision-making. Most often, the FDA gives its approval only after 10-15 years from the date of the appearance of a new drug (even despite the presence of a sufficient amount of clinical studies).

1. Lip fillers -

Highly important point to choose a filler for the lips is that to increase the volume of the body of the lips and to create a clearer contour of the red border of the lips (in the form of "Snow White line" or "Cupid's bow") - the use of different filler options may not be optimal. Slightly denser fillers can be used to create the contours of the red border than to add volume to the body of the lips. In Table 1 below, you will find a list of drugs that are suitable for these purposes.

It is very important not to use too dense fillers for lip augmentation (such as Juvederm Ultra 3 or 4), despite the fact that the duration of their effect will be longer. This is due to the fact that the lips may lose their natural elasticity, and patients may also feel in this case denser inclusions inside the body of the lips.

Fillers in the cheekbones or to increase the volume of the cheeks should have average density and elasticity. Too soft fillers are completely unsuitable for this area, and too dense fillers will feel like a foreign body. To correct the cheekbones with fillers, the FDA recommends using Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra, etc. Some products, while not FDA-recommended (such as Restylane Sub-Q or Juvederm Volume), have been created specifically for this area of the face. They keep the volume well, and the result can be noticeable up to 2 years.

Nasolabial fold fillers (often referred to by patients as nasolabial fillers) should also have medium or high gel density and low elasticity. For these purposes, the FDA has approved a large number of drugs - Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, Sculptra, Radiesse, ArteFill and others. Specific options for fillers of different trademarks are listed by us in Table 1 below.

Despite the apparent ease of use of fillers in the nasolabial folds, the reviews will depend not only on the correctly chosen brand of the drug, but also on the treatment strategy. If the patient has pronounced nasolabial folds, then the doctor can choose between two treatment strategies: firstly, the nasal folds themselves can be corrected, and secondly, a filler can be inserted in the cheekbones and cheeks, due to which the skin will be pulled back and the folds will smooth out .

When treating patients with large round cheeks, it is preferable to choose the correction of the nasolabial folds themselves. And when treating patients with sunken cheeks and a small amount of tissue in the cheekbones, it is better to introduce a filler in the cheeks and cheekbones (in such patients, this will achieve a better aesthetic result).

No filler has yet been approved by the FDA for use in the eye area. However, this does not mean that the fillers used under the eyes are dangerous and the reviews of cosmetologists and patients confirm this in every possible way. As we said above, the lack of FDA recommendations does not mean that there are not enough clinical studies on the drug or that it has bad reviews. For the area around the eyes, fillers are significantly softer than for the nasolabial folds, cheekbones or cheeks (for example, Juvederm Ultra 2 or Restylane Touch).

* In addition to hyaluronic acid-based fillers, the table also lists collagen-based fillers (CosmoDerm, CosmoPlast and Evolence), which we also talked about at the beginning of the article. We hope that our article: Fillers in cosmetology, what they are, photos, reviews - turned out to be useful to you!

Every woman strives to be perfect in everything: to have a stunning appearance and always remain young, despite her age. The beautiful half of humanity is trying to keep the freshness and elasticity of their skin with expensive cosmetics, various procedures and masks.

The most problematic areas of the face are the eyes - they are known to be the “mirror of the soul”. They reflect the inner world of a person, his mood and his way of life. But even the most Perfect eyes over time become surrounded by wrinkles, and the skin shows traces of sleepless nights, daily ration and how often a woman goes for a walk. In the mornings, bruises under the eyes and swelling on the eyelids are disappointing.

Women's tricks

This problem worries almost every woman, and many of them are looking for their Pygmalion, who will help create a unique image for their Galeta. Modern doctors are able to restore youth and freshness to beautiful ladies. To date, it is possible to correct the shape of the cheekbones, cheeks, give the desired oval to the face, straighten mimic wrinkles. An innovative solution comes to the aid of sculptors-doctors - correction with fillers, which has become famous all over the world.

Signs of problems

Everyone knows the truth that it is better to prevent a disease than to treat it - earlier skin aging is also better to prevent and try to delay this process. Therefore, the first symptoms of wilting should be taken carefully and seriously. Obvious swelling and bruising in girls who have reached only twenty-five years of age is the first signal that it is time to think about the attention and care that your body requires.

One of the signs of the beginning of the problem is the sudden appearance of small furrows. The skin around the eyes becomes dry and flaky. These symptoms indicate dehydration, which suggests drinking plenty of water and using moisturizers.

Balzac age

The onset of skin aging begins in women after thirty-five years, the "Balzac age" is characterized by the presence of some signs. The first thing that catches your eye is the flabby skin of the eyelids, which has lost its elasticity, as a result of overdrying and incorrectly chosen cosmetics, or being constantly in a room with dry air.

In addition, a small vascular network is observed around the eyes, which is an addition to bruises under the eyes. Pigmentation often occurs, which indicates a lack of vitamins, especially group E.

To avoid all these unpleasant symptoms, for the skin should be special care. It is necessary to use nourishing masks, choose high-quality decorative cosmetics and other care products. A visit to a cosmetologist, daily use of nourishing creams and other ways to preserve natural beauty will help restore freshness.

Modern fashion salons are increasingly using the popular and mysterious filler substance to restore the skin.

Magic with fillers

Fillers: what are they? Many people ask this question. This is a special cosmetic gel. Fillers are injected under the skin. They smooth wrinkles, filling them with themselves. The filler, once inside, begins to push wrinkles outward, making the surface of the skin smooth.

In contour plastic surgery, fillers are the best fit, they effectively perform their functions. When applied externally, the drug has no effect. To achieve the result, it is necessary to make an injection under the skin.

The name “hyaluronic fillers” is also widely used, since they are based on this acid. It has a gel-like consistency.

So, fillers: what are they and what is the principle of their action? The filler promotes the production of collagen, fills the hollows around the eyes and rejuvenates the skin. In addition to smoothing wrinkles, the gel relieves you of bruises and vascular network under the eyes.

After the procedure, the gel is evenly distributed under the eyelids and creates a rejuvenating effect for two years.

Gel properties

Hyaluronic acid fillers come in a variety of textures. So, for example, to fill fine wrinkles, a gel with a low density is used. It is well distributed, does not shine through under the skin, and after a while grows together with it. This option is suitable for women with thin eyelid skin.

Deep furrows require a denser filler: only in this way it will be possible to fill in wrinkles, maintain the desired effect and performance of the skin. But a specialist should make decisions about which filler to introduce where. If the procedure was unsuccessful for some reason and you were not satisfied with the result - do not be discouraged, your problem has a solution.

In case of unsuccessful correction, an enzyme is introduced that decomposes hyaluronic acid, which completes the end of the procedure without any unpleasant consequences.

Beauticians often use a product that is made in France, since more of these fillers are available. Price - from $300. Distinguish him from others various forms release - this makes it possible to achieve maximum effect using. So, for example, to improve the contour of the lips, you need a denser gel, and with an increase in volume, a lighter one.

Safety

More recently, after the introduction of gel-like preparations, there were a variety of consequences. The gel could move freely under the skin for more than one month, lymph stagnation was quite possible, but various inflammations there is no need to speak anymore. What are fillers now? What is it, can we talk about complete security?

With the advent of a gel based on hyaluronic acid, everything has changed dramatically, now you can not worry about your health. Fillers do not have a detrimental effect, take root well due to natural ingredients. The filler easily fits into the body's metabolism without causing harm, and evens out wrinkles for a long time. These cosmetic procedures can be done not only by women with pronounced skin problems, but also by girls up to thirty years old.

Application

With the introduction of the drug, anesthesia is not needed, since the procedure does not cause pain. When filling large areas of skin and in the presence of problem areas cosmetologist makes local anesthesia.

There are different ways to use the gel. If the patient is injected with hyaluronic acid with thin needles to a shallow depth, this procedure is called mesotherapy. Its cost can vary from $200 and up.

Laser biorevitalization involves the introduction of a filler using a low-intensity laser. With this option, there are no injuries on the skin, but it is impossible to inject the drug into the deep layers of the skin. Correction lasts about thirty minutes. This procedure is not cheap, from $400. To achieve an unsurpassed result, the course should be repeated two to three times. To maintain tone and excellent shape, cosmetologists recommend repeating the procedure every couple of months.

Fillers get rid of deep furrows

When fillers are injected into the nasolabial folds, the procedure takes about forty minutes. With the help of an anesthetic ointment, the area of the nasolabial folds is anesthetized, treated with an antiseptic, and with a thin needle, the biogel is injected directly under the wrinkle, smoothing it out. After that, the cosmetologist makes a light massage so that the filler is equally dispersed in the required area. After special treatment, the doctor lets the patient go home, and literally the next day you will return to your normal lifestyle. The cost of this procedure is approximately $500.

The result of the manipulation will be visible for two to three years - it depends on the patient's body, on the drug administered and on the lifestyle. After correction, doctors do not recommend visiting a bath, sauna or solarium in the first days. You should not massage the part of the body with the gel inside yourself, and you should not apply makeup for the next twenty-four hours.

All women who have already undergone this procedure note that fillers give a good result. Before and after the procedure, the face looks different.

Before undergoing a course of correction with fillers, consult a doctor, tell us about your body characteristics. You should not risk your health and carry out manipulations at home, even if you will be attracted by the low price of services.

You need to deal with problems in specialized centers that use high-quality gels, in which all manipulations are carried out by experienced cosmetologists in compliance with sanitary standards.

Injections are not made if you have poor blood clotting, during pregnancy, during lactation, with inflammatory processes, different kind infectious diseases and with existing fillers. Strictly implemented recommendations, the right clinic is the key to success and effectiveness of procedures.

So, fillers: what are they? They can safely be called excellent prophylactic, which, with proper systematic use, can permanently push back the inexorable process of skin aging.
