The main problem with a business idea in a village is the fear of being left without a permanent market!

What kind of business to open in a village is only one side of the question. The second is where to implement it?

It's time to discuss possible ways to solve this problem.

Business in rural areas - where to sell goods?

The time has come to discuss real solutions for marketing products in rural areas.

First, you need to figure out the volume of trade turnover (opening a metalworking shop in a village is not the best idea from the start).

To better understand what was said, read the example below.

An example of a business idea for a village: selling a product

Nikolai Alekseevich has land plot with an area of 2 hectares in the village. The thought came into his bright head to get busy.

More precisely, cucumbers and tomatoes.

P.S. The business is very promising, since greenhouse technology allows you to grow vegetables and get ahead of all competitors who use open ground...

The businessman was able to open a greenhouse complex in the village, consisting of 4 film greenhouses, the area of each of them being 600 square meters.

Nikolai Alekseevich achieved a daily volume of marketable products of 450 kg of cucumbers and 200 kg of tomatoes.

But then a question arose: the man lives in the urban-type settlement of Samoilovsk, whose total population is 35,000 residents. The local market is overflowing with goods, and selling products has become impossible.

In search of a solution to the problem, Nikolai called all his friends, and he managed to find out the number of the distributor in the regional center.

The seller, Mikhail, agreed to start selling the goods, working for 10% of the total cost. This option satisfied Nikolai, he entered into an agreement with Mikhail.

As a result, the partners worked according to the following scheme: Mikhail came to Samoilovsk in his personal car every 3 days and picked up the goods prepared in advance. The goods were sold at agreed prices. Every weekend the companions divided the money they earned.

With this simple example, the reader can understand the importance of planning sales of products produced in the village.

P.S. Producing a product is only one side of the coin. Without a proper working sales scheme, a business is worthless.

Possible ways to sell goods in villages and small towns:

Selling in local markets or in retail stores.

This method is suitable for small volumes of goods.

Sales of products in big cities through intermediaries.

In this case, you will act as a supplier.

Trading through your own network .

An advanced method for experienced business owners.

  • Production to order, i.e. They place an order for a specific product, and then buy the entire volume produced.

Using each of these paths has its own characteristics and difficulties.

But when choosing, it is worth starting, first of all, from the future planned volumes of goods produced and target audience products.

After analyzing your business, you will be able to assess the situation and clearly formulate The best way implementation.

Ideas for business in the village - is it worth being banal?

In this section, it’s time to open the curtain and show the reader all the unexpected opportunities for business development in the village.

It is worth turning to practical ideas for business in the village, as well as their implementation.

1) Ecological farming in the village

Do you have land but don't know how to use it properly? Take up organic vegetable growing.

The point of this business is to grow vegetables without the use of synthetic fertilizers and protective agents.

It should be noted that growing vegetables this way is quite difficult. But the price that people are willing to pay for a “natural product” will please the manufacturer.

Organic vegetable growing is a market trend. But, you need to take into account that such business ideas for rural areas become the subject of constant inspections by government inspectors.

They will carefully check whether your business truly produces only organic products.

Your clients can be both large retail chains and individual entrepreneurs.

Although we should not forget about the possibility of independently selling the product.

PS. The advantages of organic vegetable growing are that this business concept is now “in trend”. Believe me, marketing agents simply dream of a client like you!

2) What kind of business to open in a village among forests? Sawmill!

A sawmill is an ideal way to capitalize on the benefits of a rural business.

But there is one important point– organizing such a business is only possible in areas where there is a sufficient amount of wood.

Russia is rich in forests, so this idea is very relevant.

Particular advantages are the proximity of the raw material base, which allows saving on the supply of materials.

Forest is the wealth of Russia, which can become the basis for a successful business.

Another advantage of the idea of opening a sawmill in a village is the organization of production involving local residents.

As already noted, there are few jobs in rural areas. Therefore, subordinates will be ready to work selflessly to ensure their financial needs.

Wood building materials are irreplaceable on the market, so selling the product will not cause any difficulties. Cooperation with quality furniture manufacturers is the best way to sell products.

It is possible to work under certain orders...

You need to understand that the higher quality materials you produce, the greater the total income of the sawmill in the village.

3) Breeding bulls in the village

Do you love juicy bloody steaks? Even if you are a vegan and eat nuts with fresh fruit, keep in mind that there are many “bloodthirsty” people in the world.

Open in the village own farm for breeding elite varieties of bulls – great idea. Yes, one cannot deny the large-scale initial investment, but it should be understood that such a business is very profitable.

Just keep in mind - a piece of marbled beef highest category weighing 3-4 kg can cost up to 30,000 rubles!

To open a farm in a village, you need several mandatory requirements:

    Availability of a farm.

A building for housing large livestock must be constructed very firmly to avoid injury to employees.

    Personal pasture.

Having your own pasture of several hectares is another important requirement.

Bulls must move to ensure best quality beef.

    Experienced staff.

Caring for bulls requires a lot of experience.

You will need valuable personnel who can help you organize your business.

PS. Raising bulls in a village can bring huge income. But don’t forget the fact that you will have to invest a lot of money.

4) Ecotourism - a business idea in the village

Ecotourism is not a new trend in global business. But in Russia this is still a real novelty!

It cannot be denied that the Russian Federation is rich in beautiful landscapes. Using nature to enrich yourself is a very smart idea.

The best way to organize ecotourism is to create an online service where groups of tourists gather.

Mainly, your clients will be residents of large cities who want to see the beauty of their country, and just take a break from tiring working days and the heavy air of civilization.

A huge advantage of ecotourism is minimal investment, since you can administer the site and act as a guide yourself.

...It is very important to be able to choose a successful route that will impress clients and force them to repeatedly resort to your services.

20 of the most successful ideas for business in the village - in just 9 minutes:

What kind of business can you open in a village?? The reader has already found several equivalent answers to this question.

Despite ongoing urbanization and the flow of people and capital to cities, the countryside remains an attractive place for investment. Even a person who has no experience in running his own business can try to open a business in a village.

Important nuances

Not all of the ideas listed below are equally applicable in different conditions. Before developing a business plan, you need to carefully study all the characteristics of a rural settlement: population size, its composition, main types of employment, purchasing power; size and number of streets; distances to district and regional centers. It is necessary to evaluate not only the situation in the selected locality, but also the situation in the entire region as a whole.

If the business is organized in the field of agriculture, the condition of the soil and the possibility of growing certain crops are assessed.

Assessing the competition in the chosen niche is also an important step. In many cases, small businesses in rural areas do not have a large reach, so the direction may turn out to be unprofitable even if there are one or two established competitors in the market.

The search for suppliers of raw materials and buyers of products is carried out before implementing the plan, and not during it, since it is impossible to make money without regular and reliable clients in any field of activity.

It is important to know: in order to avoid fines from the state, the business must be officially registered in the form of an individual enterprise or a household plot.

Key Ideas

A potential rural entrepreneur faces a big number opportunities: business can be run in agriculture and at home, with minimal and medium investments, with or without the use of professional skills.

Agriculture and Livestock

The main areas of agricultural activity are presented in the table:

Idea Investments, rub. Labor costs and qualifications Approximate profit, rub.

Maintenance costs – 30/month

Breeding pheasants (for sale of meat and live specimens) 70 thousand Pheasant is an exotic bird that is bought by hunting farms, and its meat is valued by gourmets. But keeping this bird is not cheap and requires spending 300-400 rubles per month (per individual) Depending on the breed of bird, one live pheasant can cost up to 60,000 rubles.
Milk production 200,000 for a herd of 3 cows Need to get medical certificates both for cows and their products. Each batch of milk must be tested separately. Milking yourself takes a lot of time - it is better to hire other people for this. Up to 500,000 per year
Repurchase of milk The purchase price varies greatly - in some places milk can be given away for almost nothing, but some cow owners can inflate the price up to retail This idea is easier to implement than the idea of independent production. The main requirements are the availability of spacious transport and reliable customers. Depends on purchase price
Fish farming (carp, trout) 150 thousand Construction of an artificial reservoir requires technical knowledge. As with the breeding of other animals, veterinary control is mandatory. 300-500 thousand
Freezing and sale of vegetables and berries Purchase of refrigeration equipment – 40-50 thousand.

It is important to be able to handle refrigeration equipment and know the optimal temperature regime for each type of plant Up to 50-200 thousand depending on the volume of work

Cheese production A mini-cheese factory costs 50-60 thousand, milk can be purchased at a price of 10-30 rubles per liter. Knowledge of production technology is required, but modern equipment is largely automated Up to 30,000 per month

Important: to produce food products, you must obtain permission from Rospotrebnadzor.

In my house

If your own land plot is not fertile enough to conduct business on a large scale, and there are no funds for rent, then. Some of the ideas listed above can be implemented at home: growing flowers and seedlings, freezing vegetables and berries, breeding worms. There are other interesting projects.

  1. Renting out housing. This idea is relevant in those regions where rural tourism is developed. If the house is in good condition and has the necessary amenities, then no investment is required. Profit depends on the quality and size of the rental housing and can reach up to 30-40 thousand rubles per month.
  2. Needlework. Self-production buying souvenirs and small household appliances can not only bring profit, but also bring pleasure. Trinkets made from natural materials (wicker baskets, phone cases, souvenirs made from matches) are especially popular. This craft requires certain qualifications, but anyone can learn it. The income of an experienced master can be several tens of thousands of rubles.
  3. A more profitable (but also labor-intensive) version of the previous idea is making wooden souvenirs. The main expense item is the purchase of woodworking equipment (30-50 thousand rubles). Materials for work are taken from your own garden or purchased at a sawmill.
  4. Breeding cats. Popular among collectors are Siamese, Bengal, Siberian breeds, Sphinxes and Persians. The main disadvantages of the idea are high competition and the inability to maintain houses a large number of cats. One purebred individual costs on average 10,000 thousand rubles, its monthly maintenance costs 7,000 rubles. One cat produces 15 kittens per year, and profit is calculated from this fact.
  5. Breeding chinchillas. At home, you can keep 80 individuals without much difficulty. Purchasing animals and organizing the premises will cost 100-200 thousand rubles. Annual profit reaches 500-700 thousand rubles.
  6. Earning money on the Internet. Website creation and blogging is a competitive niche, but still profitable, and you can do this business anywhere with Internet access. Average bloggers earn 10-30 thousand rubles per month.
  7. Production and sale of marinades, pickles, jams. If you put this business on stream, the revenue will be 10-20 thousand rubles. per month.

Ideas for all year round

The agricultural business has one big disadvantage - most of its industries are tied to the seasons, and in winter their profitability drops. But there are projects that are being implemented with equal efficiency in any season.

  1. Conducting excursions. A talented storyteller and nature connoisseur can easily sell his services to guests from the city. The profit from this business depends entirely on the tourist attractiveness of the village and its surroundings. Guided tours can be combined with rental housing.
  2. Carpentry workshop. A small machine can be equipped at home, and residents of any village have a need for tables and chairs (and their repair). You can earn 5-20 thousand rubles from such a craft. per month. The average price of the machine is 40,000 rubles.
  3. Car repair. In your own garage you can carry out simple work (changing tires, glass) and carry out large-scale repairs if you have the qualifications. The profitability of this business increases significantly in cases where a highway runs through the village. The main expense items are the purchase of parts and tools.

Ideas that work

A small selection of ideas that are more or less reliable. In fact, whether this or that idea will work or not depends on a lot of factors, including the mood of the entrepreneur:

  • Private transportation. It is unlikely that this service will be in demand among local residents, but it will find demand among tourists. Since the distances in rural areas are small, you should not hope for high profits (no more than 10-15 thousand rubles per month in favorable seasons). It is convenient to combine transportation with other recreational activities.
  • Water transportation. The condition of most bridges in villages and hamlets is depressing; often there are none at all. A small boat is inexpensive (30-50 thousand rubles), and if there is a constant flow of people, its cost pays off in the first months.
  • Delivery of goods from the city to stores. The idea is relevant if the quality of the road surface leaves much to be desired, and the entrepreneur has a truck with good maneuverability. With a regular flow of goods, monthly revenue reaches 50-60 thousand rubles.
  • Opening a pharmacy. The need of villagers for medicines is high, which is due to the high proportion of elderly people in the village population. You can open without a large investment pharmacy kiosk where they will be sold over-the-counter drugs and hygiene products.

It is important to know: to implement the idea, a state license to dispense drugs is required.

  • Opening a small rural cafe or club. The idea is feasible only in relatively large settlements with a population of more than 1000-2000 people. Investments of 30-100 thousand rubles are required, profit depends solely on the number of visitors.
  • Opening of a grocery store. Even in small settlements this niche is usually occupied. But if residents need additional food supplies, the store will make a profit. Costs – 500,000-1,000,000 rubles. Estimated monthly revenue – 200 thousand rubles.
  • Drilling wells and wells. The idea is suitable for implementation in those villages where there are a large number of new buildings. A drilling rig with additional equipment will cost 70-80 thousand rubles. But the main difficulty of the business lies in the need to obtain good qualifications both in the drilling itself and in carrying out work to search for water. Average profit - 40,000 rubles. per month (including costs for consumables and employee salaries).

What kind of business can you open in a village - specifics of running, advantages and disadvantages + 5 standard and 5 original ideas.

Many people mistakenly believe that business can only flourish in big cities.

And therefore, many residents leave villages and small towns en masse to try their luck in large cities.

And so it turns out that they “take away” with them all the opportunities for the development of small settlements.

And that is why for those who still want to stay at home, the topic will be relevant.

It is worth understanding that rural business is just as risky as urban business, so it is important to choose the very niche that will be in demand among future consumers.

Specifics of business in the village

First of all, before planning what kind of business can be opened in a village, you need to analyze the available resources and analyze the future market.

The first will help reduce the cost of the initial investment, and the second will protect you from losses that can be incurred in the absence of demand.

For example, opening a beauty salon is unlikely to be in demand among retirees.

It is also worth paying attention to which village you will open your business in.

For example, it could be a village remote from the city, where your consumers will be fellow villagers, or a village near a large populated area, which serves as a kind of transit where city residents drop by.

In the first case, you need to select a business idea, the implementation of which will be in demand within your village.

And in the second case, you can even count on the high purchasing power of your consumers.

Advantages and disadvantages of starting a business in the village

As usual, the start of any business begins with the fact that the future entrepreneur, in addition to analyzing the market, thinks about all the advantages and disadvantages of the business that he can open in the village.

  • frequent lack of qualified personnel;
  • the inability to receive such income as in the city (although this is a controversial point, because some entrepreneurs, as they expand their business, reach significant amounts of profit);
  • low purchasing power.

Farming is a struggling economic market. Of course, there is government support. But in fact, government support is not provided in the required amount. So, if you decide to grow strawberries for sale, it will be a very troublesome and costly affair.

Beekeeping

On the Russian market About 300 thousand tons of honey are provided annually. Let us note that Russian production allows us to obtain much less honey, namely, about 150 thousand tons. This is due to the lack of qualified specialists.

This business will be extremely profitable. After all, up to 7 tons of honey can be collected from an apiary during a season. The average price for honey is approximately 150 rubles per kilogram. In addition, you can sell honeycombs, bee bread, and dead bees.

Important! The apiary also has big risks. There are risks associated with weather conditions. Drought or frequent rains negatively affect honey collection. This risk can be minimized by moving hives to more favorable areas.

Tourism

Yes, even in a village you can run a tourism business if you do enough good advertising. Such a business will help bring an influx of finance to the locality.

In order to run such a business, a good tourism program is necessary. You can make it about everything, about everyday life and way of life.

Stable

If a village or town can be easily reached from a large city, an option such as maintaining a stable can be successful. Many city residents go in for horse riding. But, of course, a horse cannot live in an apartment. Therefore, those townspeople who have a horse rent space in the stable. Stables located in villages are in demand due to lower stall rentals than stables in the city.

Stable space can be purchased quite inexpensively. Now stables are often located on the territory of former state farms. In addition, if you have your own horse, you can teach people horse riding and conduct horseback riding for city residents.

In a small town

In a small town, the specifics of running your own business are somewhat different. What are the ideas for starting a business from scratch in a small town? What kind of business can you start from scratch in a small town? Let's list examples:

  1. Restaurant and other catering options. Considering the specifics of a small town, you should not open an expensive restaurant or a specific cafe. Something simple and inexpensive will do.
  2. Entertainment. Perhaps it will be a cinema or club format. You should get your bearings and understand what entertainment is still missing here.
  3. Grocery store

Important! In small towns, there are often already quite a lot of food stores. These are chain stores within walking distance. If they are in the city, there is absolutely no point in opening your own grocery store due to the fact that the prices will be higher than those of the chain store, and accordingly, the demand will be very small.

Facilities

Every business has its own expenses. Let's look at the main types of costs.

State duty for registration of individual entrepreneurs is 800 rubles.

Amounts to 4000 rubles. In addition, you must have an authorized capital of at least 10,000 rubles.

Print production ranges from 300 to 1500 rubles

The most expensive thing is the premises. Renting or purchasing premises will cost quite a large sum. It is quite difficult to give specific numbers here. IN general outline, V In the Voronezh region, renting premises for a store costs 25-160 thousand rubles per month.

Primary purchase of working capital. Revolving funds are what will be put into circulation. This amount ranges from 50 to 150 thousand, depending on the characteristics of the business.

The average cost of hives for beekeeping is 3,000 rubles. A family of bees is worth 2000 rubles.

Comparison of business plans

In order to choose a suitable business plan, you need to make a comparison.

You need to choose from all of them exactly the one that will work exactly where you are going to implement the business project. It is necessary to take into account all factors, such as the availability of space for business, the presence of demand, the presence of competitors, experience in running a similar business in this territory, your qualifications and education.

Once you've chosen an idea, you need to take action. First you need to register your business. Next, you should begin to improve the premises or territory for doing business.

Running a business in a small town or village is quite difficult. Additionally, business options are quite limited. But, nevertheless, they exist. And such a business helps ensure the flow of finance to the periphery, which improves its economic situation.

How I want to quickly and with minimal costs open my own business in the village, which will outperform the city in terms of self-sufficiency.

My mini business plan

My name is Arthur. WITH teenage years I can’t help but dream of opening and growing my own business. During the years of perestroika, he tried to engage in trade: he opened a kiosk selling food products, but went bankrupt due to a shortage working capital. He studied by correspondence to become a manager, then tried to master the profession of a broker.

But as my bitter experience has shown, without money you are not a person, no one takes you seriously.

For 2 years now I have been preparing to start a business in my native village. This is an unexplored field of activity, both literally and figuratively. I collect information about activities that could actually generate income. I’m calculating the minimum costs I need to meet, planning where and what buildings to build.

Last year I approached an agricultural bank with a request to provide a loan of 600,000 rubles for the development of a farm. The answer is negative due to the lack of loan collateral. But then intermediaries in the same bank offered to solve this problem for 50% of the commission on the loan amount...

During the years of developed socialism, our village was one of the leading villages in the delivery of agricultural products to the state. Currently, previously fertile fields are abandoned, farms are half destroyed and stolen, the young population has left for the city because there is no work.

I would like to revive my village: repair and run farms, plow and sow fields, revive beekeeping. To do this, I will need to start with several simpler, but most commercially viable areas.

1. Beekeeping

Beekeeping, with a well-established system of timely provision of raw materials, brings quite a significant income.

To open an apiary, which will pay for itself during the first year of operation, will grow 2 times, and will bring profit in the amount of money spent, you need to purchase 50 bee colonies with hives. 1 bee colony with a hive costs an average of 3,500 rubles. In May - June, bees begin to swarm (1 colony is divided into 2). You need to purchase 50 more hives at a price of 1,500 rubles/piece.

Equipment and raw materials for 100 families will cost 50,000 rubles. In total, my initial costs for opening an apiary are: (3500 rub. x 50 p/s = 175,000 rub.) + (1,500 rub. x 50 hives = 75,000 rub.) + (50,000 rub. equipment and raw materials) = 300,000 rub. The main honey harvest begins in July.

On average, each bee colony receives 20 kg of commercial honey at a price of 400 rubles/kg. Implementing it in our region is not a problem. As a result, we get: (100 p/s x 20 kg of honey = 2000 kg) x 400 rubles/kg = 800,000 rubles.

With this money I plan 200,000 rubles. invest in the construction of a winter hut for bees, and 100,000 rubles. for the purchase of raw materials for bees at next year. 500,000 rub. I have left for DEVELOPMENT.

Due to the fact that no capital investments are required for the next year, I receive 800,000 rubles from the sale of honey. + from the sale of hatched bees (100 p/s x 2000 rubles = 200,000 rubles) – 100,000 rubles. for raw materials = 900,000 rub.

2. Store

We have one store in the village with flexible opening hours. On average, he works 4 days a week, 2-3 hours a day. There are no more shops within 8 km of the area. There are 5 more villages near our village, which are sold in this store, often with expired goods and at unrealistically inflated prices.

I want to build a civilized store with an extension that will serve as a warehouse and receiving point. To do this, I will need building materials worth 120,000 rubles, construction and finishing work - 80,000 rubles, refrigeration equipment and shelving with counters - 90,000 rubles.

I plan to spend 40,000 rubles on the initial purchase of food and everyday goods.

In total, to launch a store I will need 330,000 rubles. With an average expected revenue of 10,000 rubles. per day, minus the seller’s salary and taxes, the costs will pay off within 8 months.

In the annex, which I want to use as a SHOCK freezing refrigerator, I will place a warehouse with shelving, in which I will receive berries and mushrooms from the population in the summer. In summer the opening price for different kinds berries range from 5 to 10 rubles. per kg.

In winter, the price increases several times, and according to the results of 2010, the minimum wholesale price was 60 rubles/kg. To run the SHOCK, I need to purchase a compressor worth 80,000 rubles. and some accessories for it.

Total: 100,000 rub. In this case, it is quite difficult to predict the payback period, because This year, due to the drought, the berry harvest is poor. But in any case, the costs pay off during the summer season. The berries are in good demand in confectionery enterprises and in public catering.

3. Crop production

I have a 49-year lease on 20 hectares of land, which is currently not cultivated. There is an opportunity to take another 40 hectares on the same preferential terms. But to cultivate all this land you need technology.

To purchase a fairly decent used tractor with attachments in a set (plow, harrow, cultivator, seeder) you must have an amount of 250 - 300 thousand rubles. Fuel for the tractor, seeds for sowing and fertilizer will cost me around 60,000 rubles. per season + 10,000 rub. to force majeure, if suddenly there are any problems with the tractor.

Previously, buckwheat grew well in our fields. Since crop growing is not a profitable activity these days, in the first 2 years I plan to earn income not from the harvest and sale of buckwheat, but from beekeeping. Buckwheat is a very good honey plant.

It blooms for 15 - 20 days, and if sowed 3 times each time, it will be possible to extend the collection of honey by bees from buckwheat to 2 months.

It turns out that after collecting honey from the linden tree, buckwheat blooms and blooms until the end of summer. Accordingly, bees produce at least 2–3 times more honey. On average, I receive additional honey worth 800,000 rubles. By collecting nectar from buckwheat, bees carry out pollination, which has a good effect on the harvest.

With a harvest of 5 centners per hectare, I get 300 centners of cereal from 60 hectares of crops, which in monetary terms with the wholesale delivery of the product for processing at 8 rubles / kg is equal to 240,000 rubles.

In the future, I am thinking of building an automated greenhouse complex for year-round cultivation of vegetables and herbs, a bunker for growing champignons and oyster mushrooms. All these products will be sold in stores and wholesale and retail markets.

For 2 years of work and proper investment of money in Agriculture, it can be turned into successful enterprise, which provides a constant income, provides work for the population, and, very importantly, will give an impetus to my further development.
