Having received a burn on his hand, the researcher lowered them into a nearby container of lavender oil. The incredible happened: the hands quickly healed without scars and redness. Then the procedure was invented - aromatherapy, in which a table was created for ease of use essential oils.

The use of essential oils in cosmetology and dermatology was studied by a French chemist in 1937, and only 30 years later the first clinics appeared in Europe that offered aromatherapy procedures. It has been proven that the influence of aromatic oils on the human psyche is much stronger than extracts or tinctures of plants.

Methods for using essential oils

Most people may think that aromatherapy is not a serious form of medicine. Oils are never just used. This usually happens in integrated use with stones or lamps. Stones meant for this use always small. They are made from environmentally friendly natural materials such as gypsum, clay, dough.
It is important that the material be porous and able to absorb essential fragrances. Very often, people take them with them to enjoy their favorite scent throughout the day.

The method of applying essential oils as an application to a porous surface favorably affects a person wherever he is. The smell stays pretty for a long time, but the impact radius is small due to the size of the source.
Therefore, many people put such aroma stones in wardrobes or linen closets. Outgoing fluids are quickly absorbed into the fabric, thus allowing you to enjoy a pleasant smell for a long time.

Often use stones with essential oil for home aromatherapy on tables or any other surfaces. An excellent alternative to an aroma lamp, which emits a smell many times stronger and may not appeal to people who are sensitive to aromas.

However, quite often they make excellent air fresheners in shops, boutiques or offices where there are problems with room ventilation. This method perfectly cleanses the room of extraneous odors, adjusts to the desired atmosphere and creates comfort.

Aroma oils with aroma stones are magical fighters against unpleasant air in cars. You will forget about machine smell, cigarette smoke, as well as any other foreign smells.

When choosing an oil, be careful, because each of them affects others, including you, in different ways. Here is a short list of possible suggested requirements with suitable additives:

They are safe because they do not require additional fire and do not exude unpleasant odors from burning. And the third type is an ultrasonic lamp. Vibrations, with the help of which the particles evaporate, help to reveal the properties in full. The perfect solution for children's rooms or business offices.

5. Essential oils are flammable - this should also be remembered.

7. Before you start using any essential oil, check if you are allergic to it: put one drop on the elbow and see if there are any allergic reactions on the skin. Smell Allergy Testing - Apply 1 drop of oil to a handkerchief and bring it up to your nose several times. Signs of allergic reactions - runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing.

8. When taking aromatic baths, the first two sessions should not last more than 5 minutes. In aroma lamps, the first two sessions are no more than 10 minutes. If you feel good, sessions can be gradually increased.

Internal use of essential oils

The dosage of essential oils when taken orally, in pure form, should not exceed 1 - 3 drops, and the duration of admission should be 3 - 4 weeks in a row. Particular care should be taken when prescribing essential oils of anise, oregano, cinnamon, nutmeg, fennel, thyme, and sage. Essential oils of mint, lavender and tea tree are used almost without restrictions.

For internal use, a solvent is required. The recommended amount of essential oil should be added to one tablespoon of edible oil or one teaspoon of honey, jam, can be dropped on a piece of biscuit or used as a salad dressing mixed with mayonnaise.

For burning oils, there is a capsulation technique. On a small piece of black bread, apply oil in the appropriate dosage. Knead another piece of bread to make a thin plate. Wrap bread soaked in butter in it and seal tightly. Take as pills with plenty of water.

If there is no specially stipulated rule in the prescription, then the essential oil is taken 15 to 30 minutes before meals.

External use of essential oils

There are two main ways to apply essential oils externally - by inhalation and by absorption through the skin. The inhalation of essential oils came to us from the East and became widespread. For this, various aroma lamps are used. Absorption through the skin is water procedures, in the sauna, during aroma massage, compresses.
